12/18/2023 0 Comments Princess hilda x ravioThis checks out by seeing Ravio running away from his world and hiding in Link’s home while he travels between the two worlds to rescue sages and defeat monsters. Let’s start with some of the more obvious observations.įor one, Ravio very distinctly lacks courage where Link is practically overflowing with it– it’s defining of him as the hero of Hyrule. With his nature so conflicting to Link’s, it’s safe to assume that everything about Ravio directly opposes Link, meaning by studying Ravio, we can learn more about our quiet hero himself.Īnd how, if he were in Ravio’s position, Link could have actually screwed both worlds over. He is noticeably different from Link due to his cowardly, selfish, and passive nature ultimately proving himself traitor to Lorule in his choice to help save Link’s kingdom above his own. This Link, we learn, is Ravio, a merchant and servant to the Princess Hilda. While traversing this world you meet Hilda, Zelda’s counterpart, and you begin to keep a more close eye out for your own– a lorulean Link. These counterparts have direct opposite personalities and character traits to the hylians in Hyrule, leaving them noticeably more cynical, rude, and pessimistic perhaps due to their lack of a triforce, which was destroyed long ago to keep the peace, only to a have it backfire and instead devolve the world into chaos. In A Link Between Worlds, we’re introduced to a dark world that mirrors Hyrule called Lorule, where there are opposite counterparts to every person in Hyrule, all the way down to even Princess Zelda. So, let’s establish the premise first off. Loyalty in Link vs Disloyalty in Ravio: how Link could have doomed both kingdoms if Hyrule and Lorule’s situations were reversed
